Music

Most people that decide to become sound engineers are usually drawn in by a love for music (a love for film tends to send people towards the filmmaker route). Regardless of the career paths taken, that love never goes away. I’ve recorded with incredible musicians and singers, mixed and engineered a #1 album, and produced music with some of the best.

Whether you’re looking for a curated piece of music for your ad or a sonic logo for your company – I’ve got you covered. If you’re a budding artist looking for guidance from a producer to get your work off the ground or you’re simply looking for a mixing engineer to provide industry-standard high-quality work at affordable prices, I’m the right person to bring your vision to reality in the best way possible. My experience and technical expertise over the years means I’ve seen it all and I know what I’m doing to provide the service you’re looking for.

Some of my work below:

DJ Bliss Presents Made in Dubai
When I met DJ Bliss he had part of this album sitting in a drawer and it was an idea he always wanted to do but never had the right people around him to help him complete it. Upon its release this album made it to #1 on iTunes Middle East and knocked Rihanna off the top position. Given that it’s an album with a collection of local (and some international) artists it was groundbreaking and the first of its kind to reach this position. DJ Bliss used his invaluable crowd pleasing ear and his experience as an internationally recognized DJ so that he, the producer (Prince Q), and myself, the chief engineer on this project, could put this great album out. This album is synonymous with the city and can now be found on every streaming platform as well as Emirates Airlines’ in flight entertainment.

Juliana Down
Juliana Down is arguably one of the most successful bands in Dubai. Their album “Empire’s” became the highest-selling album in the country nominating them for MTV’s best Middle Eastern act as well as making them (at the time) the first band from the UAE to get signed to an international label. The song below was one of the last projects they did as a band. It saw a departure from their usual “Alternative” style to incorporating electronic elements with emerging mixing techniques to create this unique sound. I might be biased, but this is my favorite song of theirs.

Sweet Burning
This is a band called Sweet Burning. They are a blues band based in Dubai and Toronto. Being in Dubai I’ve had the pleasure of working with a wide range of talented artists from different genres.

Sweet Burning – Bugzy
Sweet Burning – City Night

Charlie Wallace Quartet
Apart from being an engineer/producer, I’ve spent nearly a decade teaching audio as well. When I met Charlie he was one of my students and I immediately recognized him as being a musical genius. This is one of the few projects his quartet recorded during his time in Dubai.

Nadia
Dubai is a melting pot of multicultural people. It’s one of the most incredible things about growing up here. I’ve been blessed to be a part of projects from all over the world and this one is definitely up there as one of my favorites. When I met Nadia she wanted to experiment with a sound that saw her leaving the traditional Iranian sounds that so many of her peers followed. This project was a culmination of her hard work in creating something unique, modern and yet still gave a nod to her roots. Her haunting vocals combined with the driving rhythm of the song create this catchy tune that blends genres and breaks barriers.
